Derby Fish and Game Club

Established in 1932, the club operates a members-only shooting range on Fish and Game Road and maintains a small fishing pond on Route 5 for children and senior citizens. The club hosts trap shoots, steel shoots, archery events, and youth activities.

Derby Fish and Game Club has been part of the area since 1932. Club activities include trap shooting, steel plate shoots, archery events, kids' fishing derby, and regular range use by members.
The club also presents youth Hunter Safety Courses, and provides range use for local law enforcement.

UCA trap team

United Christian Academy’s high school trap team uses the Derby range for practice. The team is part of the USA High School Clay Target League and enters scores online to compete with schools from around the country.

Local sponsors helping the team include Green Mountain Sporting Goods, Wright’s Sports Shop, and Andy’s Arms.

Weekly Wednesdays

Wednesday Night Trap Practice

Resumes when weather allows in the spring and typically starts around 5:00 PM.

During trap practices, the 100-yard rifle range is closed for safety while the other ranges remain open.

Ben Heath Memorial Trap Shoot

Practice from 10:00 AM, shoot starts at noon.

The firearm range is closed all weekend during the archery shoot.

We don't have online signup, yet. But we're working on it! For now, memberships can be bought at local shops, from a club director, or by mail to the club.
